Fresh Asylum & Human Rights Claims
If you have previously made an unsuccessful asylum or human rights claim in the UK, then it may still be possible to make a fresh claim to the Home Office.
A fresh claim must be supported with evidence or information or documents that have not been considered previously and which, when considered with the previous claim, create a realistic chance of the claim being allowed by an Immigration Judge.
A fresh claim is usually much stronger if it is relying on events or documents that occurred following the original claim. If documents or facts that were potentially available at the time of the original claim are used to support a fresh claim, then there has to be a very good explanation for why those facts or documents were not presented before.
Fresh asylum and human rights claims are often complex and can often involve the need to act swiftly as removal may be imminent. Cole & Yousaf Solicitors specialise in the preparation of fresh asylum and human rights claims.
